Jordan Walker of the St. Louis Cardinals defeated Kyle Schwarber in the final round of the 2026 T-Mobile Home Run Derby in Philadelphia on Monday. Walker became the first player from his franchise to claim the title.
Walker, who was 24 years and 52 days old, joined the ranks of the youngest champions in Derby history. The Cardinals had previously come closest when Albert Pujols finished second in 2003.
Schwarber hit 11 home runs in the final round and 30 overall across three rounds. His longest traveled 461 feet, but it was not enough to hold off Walker.
Willson Contreras led the first round with six home runs of 470 feet or more, including one measured at 490 feet. Junior Caminero also hit several long drives exceeding 477 feet.
A total of 131 home runs were hit during the event for a combined distance of 56,343 feet.
