A 36-year-old man in Louisville has been charged with murder after authorities say he fatally stabbed his father during a domestic incident. The victim had gone to the location to help calm his son.
Christopher D. Dubey faces murder charges related to domestic violence in the death of his 62-year-old father, Dana Paul Dubey. Police responded shortly after midnight on Sunday to the 13900 block of Blakely Lane, where they found the older man stabbed multiple times.
Officers tracked the victim's missing car to an apartment complex on Bonnyville Boulevard. A SWAT team used a chemical agent to end a standoff after the suspect barricaded himself inside what police identified as his mother's apartment.
An arrest citation indicated that Dana Dubey had told his brother he planned to calm his son. Christopher Dubey was arraigned on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court again on June 30.
Dana Dubey's obituary described him as a man of quiet strength and generosity whose life touched many people.
