LG Electronics has created a blockchain-based advertising platform using technology from Arbitrum. The South Korean company plans to explore a market launch later this year.
LG Electronics built its own layer-2 blockchain network in partnership with Arbitrum to create a shared database for ad inventory and consumer interactions. The system aims to automate ad sales and provide verifiable records without manual processes.
The company piloted the platform with an unnamed Japanese advertising agency. LG said it will explore bringing the platform to market later this year.
Arbitrum co-founder Steven Goldfeder noted that the network can handle ad transactions entirely through automation. The announcement follows a separate 2025 pilot by Hakuhodo and LG that used blockchain to log verified human impressions in Japan.
