A Texas man was arrested last week on terroristic threat charges after making repeated threats against a Turning Point USA event and its organizers. Jacob Wenske, 26, of the San Antonio area, targeted the upcoming Women’s Leadership Summit.
Authorities charged Wenske with a third-degree felony after he posted online comments threatening to bomb the TPUSA Women’s Leadership Summit. The event is scheduled for June 5–7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. Wenske made an April social media reply stating, “I know exactly where to bomb,” in response to a post about the summit. He also sent a January email to TPUSA threatening Erika Kirk and other speakers, according to the arrest warrant. Investigators linked the threats to Wenske’s months-long pattern of online activity focused on Erika Kirk and anti-MAGA content. The threats prompted added security measures, including extra police and bomb-sniffing dogs, at the venue. Wenske’s bond was set at $120,000. His arrest followed an investigation that began after a local newspaper shared details of the planned event.
