Máximo Farías, a young man missing from Graneros since June 14, was found alive on Monday at Santiago's Arturo Merino Benítez Airport.
Following inquiries by the Policía de Investigaciones, Carabineros, the Ministerio Público, Graneros municipality and volunteers, the discovery was confirmed.
Graneros mayor Marcelo Miñañir stated: “Este joven ha sido encontrado, se encuentra con vida, se encuentra también ya próximo a ser evaluado por los equipos de salud”. Farías will be taken to the CESFAM in Mostazal and then to the judicial complex in Rancagua.
Subprefect Juan Reyes of the Rancagua Homicide Brigade said camera reviews and interviews helped locate him. Farías was last seen at Cerro Santa Julia in Graneros.
