Maya Hawke has snapped up her first home just a short walk from mom Uma Thurman in upstate New York. The move comes months after her surprise Valentine's Day wedding.
The Stranger Things star, 27, spilled the details to People while filming a Netflix adaptation of The God of the Woods in the Hudson River Valley. "I just got myself a home a couple of blocks away from my mom," she said. "I’m so excited to finally be able to put some roots down."
Hawke married musician Christian Lee Hutson in a private New York City ceremony attended by her parents Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, plus several Stranger Things co-stars. The purchase aligns with her return to the town where she grew up.
Production on the series, which stars Hawke as investigator Judy Luptack and Kerry Condon as Alice Van Laar, is underway across the Adirondacks. Showrunners Liz Moore and Liz Hannah praised the location for its beauty and history.
So… is this the start of a full family compound era?
