Myles Borne defended his WWE NXT North American Championship successfully on the July 28 episode. Grayson Waller also returned to the brand with a fiery promo targeting several wrestlers.
Myles Borne defeated Kam Hendrix to retain the NXT North American Championship in the main event at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Borne hit his Borne Again finisher for the pinfall victory after countering interference attempts from Mason Rook.
Following the match, Borne and Tavion Heights brawled with Vanity Project members. General Manager Robert Stone had previously set the stipulation that a Borne win would earn the reunited duo an NXT Tag Team Championship match next week.
Grayson Waller opened the show with a surprise appearance. He called the last two years of his career an embarrassment, criticized former partner Austin Theory and his time with The New Day, and declared his intent to win the NXT Championship from Tony D’Angelo.
