Nagelsmann grants outing: DFB team parties with DJ Snake in Chicago

The German national players used their last free night in Chicago for a club visit. National coach Julian Nagelsmann had explicitly allowed the outing.

After the 2:1 win against the USA, the DFB players visited the Tao nightclub in downtown Chicago in the night to Sunday. More than two thirds of the World Cup squad, including captain Joshua Kimmich and Nick Woltemade, met there for a celebration with DJ Snake. Nagelsmann said after the match: “Generally the guys have free time, they can do what they want. It is a nice city, you can experience something there. After that the full focus is on the tournament.” The 38-year-old emphasised the subsequent move to the training camp. On Monday the team travelled on to Winston-Salem in North Carolina. There the squad will stay at the Graylyn Estate Hotel until the World Cup opener against Curaçao on 14 June.
