New information about Splatoon Raiders emerged from the June 9 Nintendo Direct. The single-player spin-off is set to release on July 23.
The game puts players in the role of a mechanic who battles Salmonids while exploring islands in an open-ended format. Participants search for treasure and Spirhalite Shards and can surf between locations.
A ship called the Hideout Ship serves as the base where players interact with Deep Cut members including Big Man, Shiver and Frye. The vessel allows gear tinkering, upgrades and weapon testing.
Gadgets such as the Shot Pot, Splatchet and Splattelites assist during raids. Difficulty settings are available and a dedicated Splatoon Raiders Direct is scheduled for June 30.
