OAB and Stanford launch research on AI in law

The national OAB announced a partnership with Stanford University and IDP to assess the impacts of artificial intelligence on Brazilian law practice.

The study is part of the National Plan for Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Law Practice. It aims to identify current technology use by professionals and highlight challenges and opportunities of digital transformation.

The research will take place in two stages. First, lawyers will answer an electronic questionnaire. Then, some participants will join an online national deliberation with experts.

Those selected will receive international certification from Stanford University. The results will support OAB guidelines on the ethical and responsible use of AI in the profession.
