A Pokémon TCG collector scored several packs of the Pitch Black set at Walmart only to return to the parking lot and find his Honda Civic destroyed. The incident also damaged four other vehicles. The fan shared photos and details on Reddit in a post that has drawn sympathetic responses.
Minimum-Idea115 posted on r/PokemonTCG that they had “scored some Pitch Black,” including three-pack blisters and an Elite Trainer Box. Moments later the user walked outside to discover the rear left side and trunk of the Honda Civic had been crushed.
“I unfortunately walked out to find an elderly woman somehow totaled my car and 4 others,” the poster wrote. They added, “Hopefully I’ll have better luck with these packs.”
The Pitch Black set offered a one-in-four hit rate for Ultra Rares. The collector pulled several Illustration Rares, though none appeared valuable enough to cover repair costs. Other users responded with lighthearted comments, including the suggestion to “show the hits.”
