Former MTV star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has signaled interest in running for governor of New Jersey after expanding his network of rehab centers across the United States.
Sorrentino spoke at a recent launch party for VUE magazine in Wall Township. He described plans to open an Archangels Center in each of the 50 states before seeking office. “I’d like to have an Archangels Center in every 50 states, and after that, you know, I will introduce everybody to Governor Situation,” he said. Sorrentino did not specify a party affiliation. He offered a policy hint by suggesting support for eliminating property taxes, which are currently the highest in the nation in New Jersey. The comments follow a similar move by fellow reality star Spencer Pratt, who is seeking the mayor’s office in Los Angeles.
