The Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals had their rubber game postponed on may 24 because of rain at great american ball park. The contest will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on monday, aug. 17.
The postponement marked the second rain delay for the reds in three days. Friday's game had been shifted to saturday as a split doubleheader, with the cardinals winning the first game 8-1 and the reds taking the second 7-6 in 11 innings.
