The Kansas City Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins 6-5 on Sunday at Target Field. Noah Cameron delivered six strong innings to help secure the win and end the road trip on a positive note.
Cameron allowed three hits and one unearned run while striking out seven and issuing no walks. His performance marked his fourth quality start in five outings. Starling Marte hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning, his first of the season. Additional runs came from doubles by Vinnie Pasquantino and Nick Loftin plus a sacrifice fly by Carter Jensen. The Twins rallied in the ninth with a three-run homer by Josh Bell and an RBI single by Victor Caratini but fell short. The Royals improved to 5-5 on their 10-game road trip.
