In the latest medical update on Andrie Yunus, KontraS deputy coordinator attacked with acid in Central Jakarta on March 12, 2026 (as previously reported, with government-funded treatment at RSCM and presidential orders for a full probe), RSCM revealed approximately 40% damage to limbal stem cells in his right eye.
Yunus, who suffered burns on his face, neck, chest, back, and arms (about 20% body surface, degree 3 chemical trauma), underwent debridement on March 16 and skin grafts. He is now in intensive wound care, with the medical team applying amnion membrane and anti-inflammatory therapy to the eye. Inflammation is improving, stem cells are recovering, and epithelialization is being monitored. RSCM commits to optimal care and public calm.
KontraS's Jane Rosalina noted improvement in RSCM's HCU, with further surgeries planned for neck, chest, and right arm.
Investigations progressed: Polda Metro Jaya identified executors BHC and MAK via CCTV and 15 witnesses, possibly more including tailing motorbike riders. Dirreskrimum's Pol Iman Imanuddin confirmed authentic footage. TNI Military Police detained four Denma BAIS personnel: NDP, SL, BWH, ES.
Komisi III DPR formed an oversight team, urging TNI-Polri synergy under Article 170 UU 20/2025 KUHAP, with meetings involving Polri, LPSK, and lawyers. KontraS demands charges under Article 459 juncto 17 juncto 20 KUHP for attempted premeditated murder.
