Samsung Electronics became the first company worldwide to begin mass production and shipments of HBM4 chips in February. Industry sources said Tuesday that sales have now surpassed $1 billion.
Revenue is expected to exceed $1.2 billion by the end of June. The company plans to significantly increase shipments through year-end, with annual sales projected to top $10 billion in 2026.
HBM4 chips are designed for next-generation AI accelerators including Nvidia Corp.'s Vera Rubin platform. The global HBM market is estimated to reach $54.6 billion this year.
