Samsung Electronics discussed expanding sales of high-bandwidth memory chips and long-term supply deals during a recent strategy meeting chaired by its Device Solutions Division head.
Samsung Electronics held its semiannual global strategy meeting last week to review first-half performance and outline plans for the second half.
The meeting on Thursday was chaired by Jun Young-hyun, head of the Device Solutions Division. Senior executives reviewed strategies to expand HBM sales and discussed long-term supply agreements with major customers.
Samsung began mass production shipments of HBM4 in February and shipped samples of HBM4E last month. The company has been working on long-term supply agreements and has signed some deals, as stated in its first-quarter earnings call.
Major customers include Nvidia, AMD and Google.
