Shreyas Iyer hit an unbeaten 101 off 51 balls to guide Punjab Kings to a seven-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants on May 23 at Ekana Stadium, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Punjab Kings chased down 197 with ease after Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh added 140 for the third wicket. Prabhsimran scored 69 off 39 balls before falling lbw to Arjun Tendulkar.
Lucknow Super Giants posted 196 for six, led by Josh Inglis's 72 and Ayush Badoni's 43. Mohammed Shami took two wickets in a strong opening spell.
The victory ended Punjab's six-match losing streak and moved them to fourth place with 15 points. Rajasthan Royals can still overtake them with a win over Mumbai Indians on May 24.
