Slay the Spire 2 received beta patch 0.105.0, which removes the controversial Doormaker boss from Act 3. Developer Mega Crit replaced it with a new boss called Aeonglass and made several balance adjustments to characters.
The patch arrived on May 8, following earlier changes to Doormaker that introduced phases exhausting cards, limiting draws, and raising costs. Those alterations led to review-bombing of the game in China on multiple occasions, including one instance the day before the new update. Mega Crit noted in the patch notes that Doormaker exceeded their desired complexity level despite internal data showing it as the easiest Act 3 boss fight.
