Slay the Spire 2 a reçu la mise à jour bêta 0.105.0, qui retire le boss controversé Doormaker de l'Acte 3. Le développeur Mega Crit l'a remplacé par un nouveau boss nommé Aeonglass et a effectué plusieurs ajustements d'équilibrage sur les personnages.

Le correctif est arrivé le 8 mai, après des modifications antérieures apportées à Doormaker qui introduisaient des phases épuisant les cartes, limitant les pioches et augmentant les coûts. Ces changements ont conduit à un review-bombing du jeu en Chine à plusieurs reprises, dont une instance la veille de la nouvelle mise à jour.
