A 69-year-old taxi driver was arrested after a 34-year-old woman died in a collision in Tsim Sha Tsui early on June 6.
The incident occurred at around 2.12am near Park Lane Shopper’s Boulevard. The taxi was travelling along Nathan Road towards Mong Kok when it struck the woman as she crossed near Granville Road. She was taken unconscious to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei and was certified dead at 2.41am. The driver is in police custody on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death. The Kowloon West traffic special investigation team is handling the case.
