Visby Roma has strengthened its defense ahead of its first HockeyAllsvenskan season by signing 27-year-old Jacob Bengtsson from MODO.
The club announced the move on July 26. Bengtsson, who was raised in AIK and played the 2024/2025 season with Brynäs before joining MODO, will continue his career on Gotland.
Sportchef André Lundholm said the team believes strongly in the player. He highlighted Bengtsson's offensive qualities, comfort with the puck, and style that fits the club's approach.
Lundholm also noted that injuries affected Bengtsson last season. He expressed confidence that the defenseman still has significant hockey ahead and looks forward to his arrival in Visby.
