WWE Unreal has revealed that a pitch was made for Bron Breakker to win the 2026 Men's Royal Rumble match. The proposal came from members of the creative team but was rejected by Triple H over concerns about fan acceptance.
In the third episode of WWE Unreal, VP of Creative Writing Jonathan Baeckstrom advocated for Breakker to win the Royal Rumble and earn a World Championship match at WrestleMania. He received support from fellow VP Ryan Ward.
Triple H voiced reservations during the discussion. He stated that the risk involved whether Breakker could handle the spot mentally and if fans would accept it. He also said it could feel like shoving the wrestler down their throats.
Breakker instead entered the match at number two and was eliminated first by Oba Femi after an attack by a masked man later revealed as Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble. Breakker missed nearly two months due to hernia surgery and returned at WrestleMania 42 by attacking Rollins.
