Bianca Andreescu secured a place in the Wimbledon main draw after winning her final qualifying match on June 25, 2026. The Canadian defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-3, 7-6 to reach her first Grand Slam main draw in nearly two years.
Andreescu, a former world No. 4 and 2019 US Open champion, advanced through three qualifying rounds at the All England Club. She started with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Polona Hercog before overcoming Jil Teichmann 6-7, 6-1, 6-4.
The 26-year-old closed out her campaign against Sasnovich by saving five set points in the second set and winning the tiebreaker 7-4. She was overcome with emotion after the victory and went directly to her team.
This marks Andreescu's first main draw appearance at a major since the 2024 US Open. She had played limited grass-court tennis this season, exiting in the first round at the Libema Open.
