Billy Ray Cyrus shared details of a near-fatal health crisis from 2024 in a recent interview. The experience included temporary vocal paralysis and left the singer in what he called a very broken moment.
In the interview with People, Cyrus credited his five-year-old grandson Bear with helping him recover. The child, son of Braison Cyrus, urged him to try again during a low point. Cyrus described the moment as pivotal. “My little grandson Bear looked at me and said, ‘Try again,’” he said. “Somehow, I got to try again at both.” The health scare occurred two years after Cyrus filed for divorce from Tish Cyrus. His new album The Hill is scheduled for release on June 16.
