أنقذ سائق حافلة خاصة شابة تبلغ من العمر 20 عاماً قفزت في نهر بيرييار من على جسر بارافور-مانجالي بعد ظهر يوم الجمعة.
أوقف السائق، ويدعى أجِش ويبلغ من العمر 41 عاماً، حافلته بعد أن لاحظ وجود حشد على الجسر. ثم نزل إلى النهر الذي كان في حالة فيضان ليخرج الشابة إلى بر الأمان.
نُقلت الشابة إلى مستشفى كلية الطب الحكومية في إرناكولام، ووصفت حالتها بالمستقرة.
وقعت الحادثة بعد أن أفادت التقارير بأن الشابة كانت تعاني من ضيق نفسي بسبب نتائج امتحاناتها المتدنية.
