A new job posting from CD Projekt Red has confirmed that the studio's upcoming mystery IP Hadar will be an open-world game. The listing emphasizes creating an emotional experience in line with the developer's previous titles.
The engineering director role for Hadar, listed on the company's careers page, states that the position involves helping to develop 'the next, immersive game in the Hadar world, creating an emotional, open-world experience that will stay with gamers.' As of the end of February, only 26 people were assigned to the project. Additional job listings have since appeared, indicating that work is now expanding to include prototypes built in Unreal Engine. Joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski said in March that the team is testing mechanics through these prototypes to verify their performance. The project remains in early development following the establishment of its foundations in March 2026.
