Chilean officialism adopts periodic meetings after Kast intervention

Parties supporting José Antonio Kast's government agreed on biweekly or weekly coordination meetings after a breakfast called by the president last Friday.

On Friday July 3 President José Antonio Kast gathered the leaders of UDI, RN, Evópoli and Partido Republicano at La Moneda to address internal tensions. The meeting agreed on periodic sessions led by biministers Claudio Alvarado and José García Ruminot.

On Tuesday July 7 Kast will receive Republican parliamentarians at Cerro Castillo. Similar meetings with RN, UDI and Evópoli are scheduled for next week.

During the expanded political committee on Monday July 6 Alvarado held a press briefing. Some Chile Vamos leaders express distrust about whether the new scheme will resolve differences with the Republicans.
