Dragon Chilling, captained by GM Ni Hua and led by GM Ding Liren, beat Endgame.AI 5-1 in both legs of the blitz final. Uzbekistan defeated Hexamind to claim bronze, while WR Chess finished fifth after elimination by Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals.
Ni Hua described the achievement as a dream, noting the team's long preparation and family-like bond. Ding Liren called the victory worth the wait and said he was back to complete team competition.
Endgame.AI captain Hans Niemann expressed satisfaction with second place despite entering as underdogs. The event ran from June 17 to 21 and featured nearly 50 teams with requirements for one female player and one recreational player per squad.
