EA has revealed a release date for its upcoming turn-based tactics game Star Wars Zero Company. The title will launch on August 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The announcement came via a three-minute cinematic teaser shown during Summer Game Fest activities. The video highlighted the game's XCOM-like mechanics, including a permadeath system where every choice affects the outcome. Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player title set in the twilight of the Clone Wars era. It follows an original story led by Aaron Contreras, who previously worked on Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. Players command an elite squad facing foes such as Separatists and a mysterious Dark Side cult. Pre-orders include the Crystalline Astromech Cosmetic Pack. The game emphasizes a gritty narrative style similar to Rogue One and Andor.
