مصر تطلق مبادرة البحر الأحمر لحماية الشعاب المرجانية

أطلقت مصر رسميا مبادرة البحر الأحمر المصرية خلال احتفالات يوم البيئة العالمي 2026 في محافظة البحر الأحمر.

كشفت الوزيرة منال عوض عن المبادرة الوطنية التي تهدف إلى حماية النظم البيئية للشعاب المرجانية وتعزيز القدرة على التكيف مع المناخ وتشجيع السياحة المستدامة والاستثمار الأخضر على طول ساحل البحر الأحمر.

قالت عوض إن المبادرة مصرية خالصة تترجم الأولويات الوطنية إلى إجراءات عملية لحماية أحد أهم الأصول الطبيعية. وتشمل الخطوات تعزيز إدارة المناطق المحمية وتوسيع برامج الرصد وإنشاء آليات تمويل طويلة الأجل.

أعلنت الوزيرة عن خطط لإنشاء صندوق مصري للشعاب المرجانية كآلية تمويل مستدامة. وشارك في الحدث محافظ البحر الأحمر وليد البرقي وممثلة برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي تشيتوسي نوغوتشي ونائب رئيس الصندوق العالمي للشعاب المرجانية يابانيكس باتيستا.
