In a post on the official Arc Raiders Discord server, Embark Studios' community lead, Ossen, announced that the Hidden Bunker activity has been removed from the rotation. This map condition, which involves activating satellites and downloading data from an underground bunker on the Spaceport map, was deactivated to curb exploits. The move comes as the studio addresses vulnerabilities allowing players to glitch through walls and doors, gaining unauthorized access to loot and safe shooting positions.
Glitch Issues and Previous Fixes
The Spaceport map has been particularly prone to these problems. Players reported spontaneous falls through the map and wall exploits enabling invisible kills. A notable door glitch involved hopping and sprinting to phase into locked rooms, often leaving them gutted of contents. To counter this, Embark implemented a 'Hot Fix' that deploys burning traps inside unauthorized entries, incinerating glitchers. However, the traps have occasionally activated outside the rooms, affecting legitimate players.
Despite these measures, exploits persisted, prompting the full deactivation. Community feedback highlighted frustration in matchmaking, with some avoiding auto-fill to evade glitchers. In a lighter note, players attempted to recreate the door glitch at Embark's headquarters in Sweden but were unsuccessful, with no loot stolen or fires started.
