Embark Studios has deployed an emergency hotfix for Arc Raiders after a security researcher uncovered a flaw in the game's Discord integration that logged private messages locally. The issue involved the Discord SDK capturing and storing sensitive user data on players' machines. The studio assures players that no data left their devices and is conducting a further audit.

Developer Embark Studios announced that Arc Raiders has sold over 12 million copies since its launch. Arc Raiders features a new questline investigating water contamination sabotage, starting with A Toxic Trail on Dam Battlegrounds and leading to The Stench of Corruption on Spaceport. Players explore hazardous areas, collect keys, and uncover clues without needing to extract immediately. Completion rewards include the Warden outfit and useful items like the Spaceport Warehouse Key.
