Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron attend BTS concert at Stade de France

South Korean K-pop group BTS held its first concert in France since 2019 at the Stade de France on Friday evening. Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron were among the 88,000 spectators.

The presidential couple appeared around 8:50 p.m. on the stadium's giant screen. The seven group members toured the arena accompanied by dancers and flags bearing the ARMY logo.

This appearance marks esteem toward South Korea, which this year celebrates 140 years of diplomatic friendship with France. BTS fans form a community named ARMY, echoing the group's name.

The concert took place before an enthusiastic crowd inside the Stade de France.
