Continuing its global tour ahead of the 2026 tournament, the FIFA World Cup trophy arrives in Dhaka on Wednesday morning, accompanied by Brazilian 2002 World Cup winner Gilberto da Silva. It will be displayed at Hotel Radisson Blu for selected fans and guests, marking the third visit to Bangladesh following stops during the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
The trophy lands at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday morning before being transported to Hotel Radisson Blu for display after noon. Winners of a local campaign launched last September, along with selected invited guests, will have the chance to view and photograph it up close. The visit is brief, with departure scheduled later that night.
This stop follows recent tour visits including New Delhi, as FIFA and Coca-Cola bring the 18-carat gold prize to fans across 30 member associations in the lead-up to the expanded 48-team 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11.
