A fire declared Tuesday afternoon on the 25th floor of Torre Moeve forced the building's evacuation and was extinguished by firefighters around 18:35.
The fire originated in a technical room of about 35 square meters on the 25th floor of the 248-meter skyscraper. Firefighters released three people who had been confined in a refuge area on the 27th floor.
Moeve sources said the evacuation was carried out in an orderly manner via the stairs. SAMUR treated two workers for mild smoke inhalation and one passerby for an anxiety attack, with no one requiring hospitalization.
The incident is the second in six months at the building, after a fire in a basement transformer last December 15. Torre Moeve, designed by Norman Foster and inaugurated in 2009, is owned by Amancio Ortega.
