A fire on Sunday morning (7) destroyed part of the 4th Police District facilities in Guarulhos, Greater São Paulo. The blaze started in one room and spread across two floors of the building, with no injuries reported.
The fire hit the building located at Avenida Santana do Mundaú, 684, in the Jardim Alvorada neighborhood. According to the Public Security Secretariat, the fire started in one of the rooms and reached other parts of the property. Four teams from the Fire Department, with 12 professionals, worked to extinguish the flames. The affected area was approximately 600 square meters across two floors. One court clerk required medical attention after inhaling smoke. Public service was temporarily transferred to the 8th Police District of Guarulhos, on Avenida Santos Dumont. Civil Defense was called for structural analysis of the building and experts are investigating the causes of the fire.
