A small plane crashed in Marília, São Paulo, on Wednesday, killing two pilots and injuring a third.
The aircraft was carrying three pilots when it went down near the landing terminal on land belonging to the Associação Atlética Banco do Brasil. Gabriel Maloni Mendes da Cruz and Henrique Guariente died at the scene. Pablo Portella Ilwoski was rescued alive and taken to Hospital das Clínicas de Marília. The Fire Department confirmed the deaths and said one victim was removed from the plane before teams arrived. The causes of the accident will be investigated by police and the Centro de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos. A video circulating on social media shows the plane on fire minutes after the crash, about one kilometer from the terminal.
