Fox orders Highway to Heaven reboot for 2027-28 season

Fox has ordered a reboot of the classic series Highway to Heaven. The project comes from Jason Katims, known for Friday Night Lights and Parenthood. It is set to air during the 2027-28 television season.

The network announced the order on Wednesday. Katims will serve as executive producer and showrunner for the new version, which aims to bring the story's themes of compassion, humanity, and second chances to both longtime fans and new viewers.
