Maciej Ryszczuk, fitness coach to Iga Swiatek, has spoken out about receiving insults and death threats on social media following the Polish player's recent tournament results.
Ryszczuk told Polish publication WP that messages have targeted him and his family. He noted the comments often intensify when other players succeed and said he rejects private threats directed at loved ones.
The coach highlighted Swiatek's physical condition as strong and attributed recent shortfalls to mental factors. Swiatek reached the semifinals of the 2026 Italy Open but exited early in the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
Ryszczuk expressed continued belief in her ability to win majors again and said he has turned down other offers to focus on her training. Swiatek is scheduled to begin her Wimbledon title defense next week after competing at the Bad Homburg Open.
