Jason Robertson signs one-year deal with Dallas Stars

Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson has agreed to a one-year contract worth 12 million dollars. The deal avoids a scheduled salary arbitration hearing.

The announcement came on Wednesday morning Swedish time. Robertson requested arbitration on July 5 after failing to reach terms on a new deal.

The new contract represents a significant increase from his previous cap hit of 7.75 million dollars per season. It covers only the 2026/27 campaign, after which the 28-year-old forward will become an unrestricted free agent.

Robertson led the Stars in scoring last season with 45 goals and 96 points in 82 games. He added five goals and eight points in six playoff games.

Since his NHL debut, he has recorded 490 points in 456 regular-season games, all with Dallas. The forward has reached the 40-goal mark in three separate seasons.
