The Junior Springboks defeated England 53-37 in a semifinal on Monday in Tbilisi. Wing Khuthadzo Rasivhaga scored three tries while flyhalf Yaqeen Ahmed added 23 points. Coach Kevin Foote said the team stayed calm at halftime and applied more pressure in the second half.
England led 17-7 when flank Seb Kelly was sent off for headbutting fullback Luan Giliomee. The Junior Boks then scored four tries after the break. Giliomee later received a red card himself.
France advanced by beating New Zealand 26-22. The final is scheduled for 6.30pm on Saturday and will be broadcast on SuperSport. South Africa enter on a 17-match unbeaten run.
