Kelsea Ballerini and Patrick Droney have released the duet "Math of Us." The track appears on Droney's album Made You Look, which was released on July 24.
The song came out with an accompanying video filmed in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Droney directed and edited the clip, which shows the pair performing on a bench with a view of New York City.
Ballerini said she listened to the full album while walking the West Side Highway and kept returning to the track. She described it as being about fear, presence, and the love people hope to find.
Droney called the song an unspoken conversation and noted that the video includes his longtime friends along with a couple he met while scouting the location. He added that the project reflects a shared creative period in New York.
Droney's North American tour in support of the album is scheduled to begin October 14 in Los Angeles.
