The Section V Alpine Skiing Championships took place at Bristol Mountain Ski Resort in Canandaigua this week, featuring standout performances from several GLOW region athletes. Livonia/Avon's Maeve Seeley dominated the Class B girls giant slalom, completing her run in 2 minutes 23.49 seconds to claim the title. In the slalom, she finished third with a time of 2 minutes 12.26 seconds.
Her strong showings contributed to the Lakers' third-place finish in the Class B team standings. Seeley earned qualification for the state championships as the sole representative from the GLOW region. The event highlighted individual achievements in slalom and giant slalom disciplines, with Section V selecting its New York State qualifiers based on these results.
