São Paulo Military Police seized an AK-47 rifle and drug production materials in a building in the Paraisópolis community in the southern zone of the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
During an operation in the Paraisópolis favela, officers found three spaces used in different stages of drug trafficking. One functioned as a refinery with a large amount of already mixed cocaine and processing utensils. Another contained base paste tablets and packaging materials.
The AK-47 rifle, equipped with a loaded spiral-type magazine, was hidden in the plaster ceiling of the third space. The Military Police stated that the property was used by organized crime, possibly linked to the PCC, as a kind of industry for drug production and distribution.
Signs were also found that the site served for drug experimentation. The locations were preserved for forensic work and the incident was registered at the 89th Police District.
