Nicholas Galitzine is set to play supermodel Hoyt Richards in a new film. Gus Van Sant is in talks to direct the project, Deadline confirmed. Richards rose to prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s as one of the first modern male supermodels. He worked with brands including Versace, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Cartier and Donna Karan, and appeared alongside Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. His story has returned to public attention through the HBO docuseries Bring Me the Beauties, which examines his time in the cult Eternal Values led by Frederick von Mierers. Details about the biopic remain under wraps with no other creative attachments announced yet. Van Sant is coming off his crime thriller Dead Man’s Wire, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
