Cody Rhodes, the current WWE Undisputed Champion, revealed that Nintendo once issued a legal notice over his use of the Triforce symbol on wrestling boots. The incident occurred around 2013 when Rhodes incorporated the design from The Legend of Zelda.
Rhodes discussed the matter during a recent episode of the podcast What Do You Wanna Talk About. He explained that the Triforce's principles of power, courage, and wisdom aligned with his in-ring persona at the time. Rhodes noted that Zelda represented wisdom, Link courage, and Ganon power in the symbol's lore. He added that the idea appealed to him as a fan of Nintendo games and their themes of ambition and learning.
