CBS Sports senior NFL writer Pete Prisco has issued his annual ranking of the top 100 players ahead of the 2026 season. Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Myles Garrett leads the list. Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland appears at the bottom as a new entrant.
The list features 27 new entrants. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford ranks No. 2 after winning the MVP award last season.
Twenty-seven players from last year's list dropped off. Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who ranked No. 30 in 2025, leads this group after an injury ended his campaign and a subsequent release this offseason.
Among the 24 players who rose at least 10 spots, Seattle Seahawks defensive back Devon Witherspoon jumped 60 places from No. 84 to No. 24. Twenty-six players fell at least 10 spots, with Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt dropping 77 spots from No. 11 to No. 88.
Twenty-three players maintained rankings within 10 spots of last year. This group includes Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby, San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams, and Chicago Bears guard Joe Thuney, whose spot at No. 55 remained unchanged.
