وافق مجلسا إدارة شركتي Power Finance Corporation وREC Ltd على خطة اندماج ستؤدي إلى إنشاء أكبر جهة لتمويل قطاع الطاقة في الهند.

أعطى مجلسا إدارة Power Finance Corporation وREC Ltd الضوء الأخضر لعملية الاندماج بينهما. وقد تم تحديد نسبة تبادل الأسهم بـ 88 سهماً من أسهم PFC مقابل كل 100 سهم من أسهم REC. سيمتلك الكيان المشترك قروضاً تزيد قيمتها عن 11 تريليون روبية هندية. وذكر مسؤولون أن هذه الخطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز الكفاءة التشغيلية وتقوية الميزانية العمومية. ومن المتوقع أن تلعب الشركة الجديدة دوراً محورياً في تمويل التحول في قطاع الطاقة الهندي ودعم نمو البنية التحتية.
