Fuel crisis closes 425 gas stations nationwide

A total of 425 out of 14,485 gas stations nationwide were temporarily closed as of March 27 due to the fuel crisis triggered by the Iran war, according to the Philippine National Police. The Cordillera Administrative Region recorded the highest number at 79, while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a national energy emergency.

Sunday to have cheapest electricity prices in recent years

The average wholesale electricity price will be 0.18 euros per MWh this Sunday, the lowest level of the year and one of the lowest in history, according to the Operador del Mercado Ibérico de Energía (OMIE). This marks a 94% drop from Saturday's 3.03 euros average. Ten hourly periods will see negative prices.

أعلنت مجموعة البنك الدولي عن خطة منسقة لتقديم مساعدات مالية للدول الضعيفة مثل كينيا في ظل تداعيات الصراع في الشرق الأوسط. وقد حذر الرئيس ويليام روتو شركات تسويق النفط من تخزين الوقود لتحقيق أرباح، في وقت تشهد فيه أسعار الوقود ارتفاعاً ملحوظاً وتُبلغ بعض محطات الوقود في كينيا عن وجود نقص في الإمدادات.

وافقت شركة ميتا على تمويل سبع محطات جديدة للطاقة تعمل بالغاز الطبيعي وبنية تحتية واسعة النطاق للطاقة لدعم أكبر مركز بيانات لها قيد الإنشاء في أبرشية ريتشلاند بولاية لويزيانا. وذكرت صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال أن الاتفاق مع شركة إنترجي لويزيانا يتضمن إنشاء 240 ميلاً من خطوط النقل وأنظمة لتخزين الطاقة بالبطاريات. وتأتي هذه الخطوة عقب تعهد غير ملزم من شركات التكنولوجيا بتغطية تكاليف الطاقة لمراكز بيانات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
